Agartala, 22nd December 2025: A serious road accident took place at Ashram Chowmuhani area here when an auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a concrete mixer truck. The crash left a child and a woman traveling in the auto-rickshaw injured, while the truck driver allegedly fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Locals and the auto-rickshaw driver said that the truck approached from the front without applying brakes and rammed into the auto-rickshaw with force. The impact caused severe damage to one side of the auto. The child sustained injuries to the chest, while the woman suffered injuries to her leg. The auto driver also received minor injuries.
Police are investigating the incident and searching for the truck driver who escaped after the collision.
