‘Bachar Bachao’ exam to begin by July 6, confirms TBSE President

Date:

Agartala, 2nd June 2026:   The “Bachar Bachao” examination will commence by July 6, announced Dr. Dhananjay Gan Chaudhuri, President of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education, while addressing reporters today.

Dr. Chaudhuri explained that the exam is typically held within two months of the publication of results. Students who have failed in no more than two subjects will be eligible to sit for this special test, designed to prevent them from losing an entire academic year.

He further stated that the deadline for applying for re-evaluation of answer scripts has already passed. However, students may still apply for self-inspection of their answer papers until June 9. Once this process concludes, all board examination-related activities for the current academic session will be officially completed.

Education experts view the “Bachar-Bachao” initiative as a crucial support system for students. It offers a second chance to those who narrowly missed passing, ensuring that minor setbacks do not derail their academic progress.

Parents and educators believe the program not only reduces psychological stress but also smoothens the path toward higher education. Many bright students, they note, benefit from this opportunity to continue their studies with renewed motivation.
