Agartala, 6th June 2025: Amid growing concerns over the deteriorating condition of the Anganwadi Kendra under Fatikchhara Gram Panchayat, Bamutia MLA Nayan Sarkar has assured immediate intervention to address the issue.
During an inspection of the center, MLA Sarkar witnessed firsthand the dire state of the facility. The center’s tin roof is perforated, allowing rainwater to seep through, disrupting the children’s education. With basic infrastructure failing, students are struggling to continue their studies, especially during the rainy season.
Speaking to the media, MLA Sarkar expressed deep concern over the neglect, stating that the Anganwadi Kendra is in an extremely dilapidated condition. He further revealed that he has alerted the CDPO Mohanpur about the matter. If no action is taken by the concerned department, he assured that he would personally oversee the necessary repairs to restore a safe learning environment for the children.
Local residents have also raised concerns about the government’s inaction, emphasizing the urgent need for repairs.
