Bank employees announced agitation on Bank Nationalization Day

Agartala July 18: The All India Bank Officers Confederation is going to take to the streets against the government from Bank Nationalization Day. AIBOS secretary Sanjay Dutt declared the same amid a press conference at the  Agartala Press Club on Monday. He said, July 19 is bank nationalization day.

 On July 19, 1969, the first 14 private banks were nationalized in the country. So this day is celebrated with due dignity by All India Bank Officers Confederation. This year, the organization has taken an initiative to celebrate the day in a different way because in the last winter parliament session, the central government decided to privatize national banks. And they are trying to reintroduce the bill in the upcoming session.

The members added with the alogan of “Bank Bachao Desh Bachao” protests will be organized in Agartala and a rally will march across the city on Tuesday protesting against privatization of Banks.

Besides on July 20 protest will be conducted for the welfare of 10 lakh Bank employees of India in Sepahijala, South Tripura and Gomati districts and on July 21 in Khowai, Teliamura and Jirania sub-divisions.
