Agartala, 19th January 2025: A potential disaster was averted in Agartala’s Battala area on Sunday afternoon when a fire broke out in a garbage heap next to a plastic godown. Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene after being alerted and managed to bring the fire under control before it could spread to the nearby godown.
A firefighter from Agartala Fire Station suggested that the fire may have been ignited by someone smoking and carelessly discarding their cigarette into the garbage. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and the quick response of the fire department prevented further damage. The incident has created a stir in the local community.
