Bharatiya Itihash Sankalan Samiti holds first Annual General Meeting 2025

Agartala, 30th March 2025 :   The Bharatiya Itihash Sankalan Samiti, Tripura Prant organized its first annual general meeting for 2025 at the IMA House today. The event marked a significant milestone for the organization, which has been active since 1991.

Speaking to the media personnel here, Secretary Sukesh Kalai highlighted the organization’s progress. “This organization has started its journey since 1991. In Tripura Pradesh, this Samiti is having 36 lifetime members. There is an executive committee of this Samiti’s Tripura Prant. At present, committees were formed in four districts and within April next, committees in rest four districts will be formed,” Kalai stated.

The inaugural session was attended by former Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University and Padma Shri awardee Prof. Arunadoy Saha, RSS Sangha Chalak Tripura Prant Bimal Kanti Roy and Akhil Bharat Itihas Sankalan Yojana national general secretary Hemanta Dhing Majumder. The session was presided over by Samiti’s Tripura Prant President Haradhan Saha.

However, AMC Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder could not attend the event due to prior commitments. “Due to important schedule, AMC Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder couldn’t attend the inaugural session and he promised to attend in next course of events,” Kalai informed.

The meeting comprised three sessions: the inaugural session, a panel discussion, and a business session. “The annual general meeting consisted of three sessions—inaugural session, panel discussion session, and business session of the organization,” Kalai added.

The event highlighted the organization’s commitment to expanding its reach and fostering historical research across Tripura.
