Agartala, 24th February 2025: Melaghar police station staff arrested Bijoy Debbarma on charges of murdering his younger brother Amitabh Bachchan Debbarma over a dispute about the volume of a music box. The incident took place on February 22 at approximately 7 PM in Taibandal Dhanmura. Following the incident, Bijoy Debbarma fled the scene.
The Melaghar Police along with Taibandal Outpost Police conducted extensive searches in various locations to arrest Bijoy. Ultimately, they located him at his fiancée’s house in Mirza, where he was arrested late last night. This information was confirmed by Melaghar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Debasish Saha.
The arrest has brought a sense of relief to the community as the police continue their investigation into the tragic incident.
