Bike theft sparks alarm at Bishramganj; Residents suspect involvement of drug-addicted youths

Agartala, December 28: : In a daring act of burglary, a gang of thieves targeted a residence at Master Para, Bishramganj, breaking the grill gate and the door to make off with a household’s pulsar bike. The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday around 3:30 am.

Chiranjit Debbarma, a resident of Master Para, reported that after returning home from the market on Wednesday night, he securely parked his pulsar bike with license plate number TR07B9233 inside his house. Little did he know that a criminal group had meticulously broken into his residence during the night.

Discovering the theft at 3:30 am on Thursday, Chiranjit Debbarma was shocked to find the door of the room where he stored the pulsar bike forcibly opened. The thieves not only breached the gate lock but also pilfered the bike from right under the family’s roof.

Upon raising an alarm, local residents rushed to the scene, but the stolen bike remained elusive. Seeking swift action, Chiranjit Debbarma lodged a formal complaint at the police station on Thursday morning at 8:30 am.

Expressing concern over the incident, Debbarma attributed the theft to the involvement of current youths engaged in drug consumption. Urging the police to promptly apprehend the culprits and recover the stolen bicycle, he voiced the collective demand of the affected community for justice.

As authorities initiate an investigation into the matter, residents of Master Para remain on edge, emphasizing the need for increased vigilance and security measures in the neighborhood.
