Agartala, December 28: In a road mishap that took place on Thursday morning at Jamtala in Udaipur, a milk seller suffered injuries when an unnumbered BSF ambulance collided with his bicycle. The victim, identified as 65-year-old Ramzan Mia, a retired employee of the forest department, was en route to the market with his milk supply when the incident took place around 8:30 am.
Providing an account of the accident, Ranjan Ulla Kazi, a close relative of Ramzan Mia, revealed that the BSF ambulance was traveling from Jamtala to Udaipur city at the time of the collision. The impact of the accident caused Ramzan Mia to fall to the ground, prompting a swift response from the fire department.
Emergency services were summoned, and Ramzan Mia was promptly shifted to Gomati District Hospital in critical condition. Recognizing the severity of his injuries, the medical staff at Gomati District Hospital referred him to GB Hospital at Agartala for further treatment.
Local law enforcement authorities swiftly arrived at the scene, taking the unnumbered BSF ambulance into custody for investigation. Ramzan Mia’s residence is situated behind Udaipur Girls’ School.
