Agartala, 21st January 2025:   Bishalgarh MLA Sushanta Deb and officials from the Public Works Department rushed to inspect the 270-meter dilapidated road in the Rabidas Para area of Bishalgarh. The MLA assured residents that the road would receive a complete makeover within the next six months.

Locals of Rabidas Para voiced their long-standing grievances regarding the deteriorated condition of the road, highlighting their humiliation, deprivation, and misery. They alleged that MLA Sushanta Deb had previously inspected the road and promised repairs within a few days. When the promise went unfulfilled, the locals turned to the media to express their frustration. Within hours of the news being published, the MLA, accompanied by officials, visited the site this afternoon.

After inspecting the road, MLA Sushanta Deb addressed the residents stating, “I assure you that the 270-meter road in Rabidas Para will get a new look within the next six months. Your concerns have been heard, and action will be taken promptly.”

The MLA also criticized the previous administration, alleging that no development had taken place in the Bishalgarh assembly constituency during the 25 years of Left rule. “Since the formation of the BJP government in 2018, we have witnessed a tide of development in the state. The Left and the Congress have jointly tried to halt this progress, but the people have given them a befitting reply,” he remarked. “It will not be possible to stop the tide of development in Bishalgarh. The Bharatiya Janata Party workers and well-informed citizens are always ready to respond to any challenges posed by the Left and the Congress.”

The visit and assurances from MLA Sushanta Deb have brought a sense of hope to the residents of Rabidas Para, who eagerly await the promised road renovation.
