Agartala, December 25, 2022: Acting on tip-off, Bishalgarh sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) Binoy Bhushan Das and police personnel rescued a minor girl from Chandan nagar area under Bishalgarh sub-division on Sunday.
Speaking to media persons here, Bishalgarh SDM Das said that a raid has been conducted in a house at Chandan nagar on Sunday and rescued a minor girl of 14 years old who was married by a 55 year old SPO named Dulal Miah.
The minor girl is a resident of an area under Kalamchoura police station. She will be handed over to her parents at first. If her parents deny to accept her, then the ChildLine will take necessary steps. For preliminary investigation, two women were booked, he added.
