Government  using tech to bring people closer to administration : Chief Minister

Agartala: December 25. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today said that the government has taken initiative to take the administration more close to the people using technology.CM Dr Saha said this during the concluding ceremony of Good Governance campaign which was launched to bring the benefits of the central flagship scheme to the last person in the state.

The campaign was launched on September 17 on the day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.It concluded today on December 25, on the birthday of late former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister unveiled the report card of Good Governance campaign. Moreover, the Chief Minister unveiled a leaflet on the ‘Amar Sarkar’ project and also inaugurated the ‘Amar Sarkar’ mobile app.On the occasion, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha said that one of the goals of organizing the closing ceremony of Good Governance Abhiyan on the birthday of late former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee is to convey the message of good governance of the government to public welfare.

“Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a shining symbol of good governance. He was a writer, poet, orator and a wise political figure. Atal Bihari Vajpayee worked for the welfare of people all his life”, he said.

The Chief Minister said that the government has taken the initiative to take the administration to the people using technology. “Our goal is to build Ek Tripura, Srestha Tripura. ‘Amar Sarkar’ web portal has been introduced through the Panchayat Department of Tripura Government to link the administration with the people. The ‘Amar Sarkar’ portal will play an important role in reaching out to the rural marginalized people of the state and taking complaints related to government schemes and services”, the CM said.

On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee had a dream to take the country to the best seat.

“He had no pride. He never played partisan role while working for people. Late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee took the initiative to unite India.   Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s dream and efforts are being implemented by the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, the DyCM said.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the good governance campaign has created an incredible atmosphere in the state.

“Such an operation has never happened before in the state. People enthusiastically participated in this campaign. Mission-oriented work has been done in this campaign to bring 100 percent success of various projects and services”, he said.During the closing ceremony apart from CM and DyCM, Assembly Speaker Ratan Chakraborty, Tourism Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Mayor Dipak Majumdar, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, ICA Department Secretary Dr. PK Chakraborty, Director Ratan Biswas were present.
