Agartala, February 09: Bishalgarh witnessed a sensational incident on the night of Thursday last when two thieves tried to rob a house in the Nadilakh area using a bike with a fake police sticker.
The thieves entered the house around 10 pm, pretending to be police officers. However, the new occupants of the house became suspicious and confronted them. The thieves panicked and abandoned the bike, which had a police sticker on it, and ran away.
The local residents, who heard the commotion, chased the thieves and caught one of them. The other thief managed to escape. The residents informed the Bishalgarh police station about the incident and handed over the captured thief and the bike to them.
The police are investigating the case and trying to identify the other thief. They suspect that the thieves may have been involved in other crimes in the area using the same modus operandi.
