Biswa Bandhu Sen protest against power outage in Dharmanagar constituency

Agartala, August 26, 2022: In support of common people, Dharmanagar MLA and Assembly’s speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen came forward and participated in a mass protest against the power outage in the entire assembly constituency including heart of the North Tripura district headquarters at the Power department office here and deputation was given to the official.

For quite some time now, power outages have become extreme in the state and neighbouring areas including Dharmanagar city. As a result of power outage, everything from school and college students to office machinery works are almost stopped. The normal lives of common masses have been completely disrupted due to sudden power outage either of little rain or little wind or without any reason. In addition, the mass people have complained that the electricity workers are neglecting their work and reluctant to receive the call of common people whenever there is an electricity problem.

For this, the MLA of Dharmanagar Sen had held some employees of the Power department are responsible for this power outage and advised that such power outages should not take place in the surrounding areas of Dharmanagar city in the coming days and workers should not be reluctant in their respective responsibilities. Otherwise, the local residents threatened to go on a large-scale movement.

During today’s deputation, Dharmanagar Municipal Council Chairperson Pradyut De Sarkar, Dharmanagar BJP Mandal President Shyamal Nath along with all councillors of the whole council and BJP supporters of 56-Dharmanagar constituency were present.
