Agartala, March 25: After being elected as the Assembly’s speaker, Biswa Bandhu Sen received a warm welcome with great fanfare and gaiety in Dharmanagar on Saturday.
A large army of bike riders welcomed him to Dharmanagar Kalibari in a flower-decorated cars. First he came to the Dharmanagara Kali Temple to receive the blessings of Mother Kali and interact briefly with party supporters.
Arrived at Dharmanagar, Sen meets bereaved chairperson of the Municipal Council Pradyut Sarkar as his father passed and expressed his condolences.
Interacting with people of Dharmanagar, he assured them that he will stand by the side of Dharmanagar’s residents. He said that he would meet the members of the Press Club of Dharmanagar in a few days.
