Sabroom police achieves success, arrests masterminds of stolen laptops

Agartala, March 25: After three days of recovering eight laptops and arresting three youths, Sabroom police on Saturday arrested the masterminds Sajal Nama and Jhulam Nama of the laptop thefts from Agartala Railway Station.

After interrogating the arrested, the police recovered the latest laptop from the house of Abhijit Dey alias Butan, 32, another drug dealer of Sabroom. Abhijit told the police that he bought the laptop in exchange for those 30 vials of narcotic substances. All the three arrestees will be produced before Sabroom Court on Sunday.

It should be noted here that the locks and laptops of Dolbari High School were locked last Monday. Thieves broke the cupboard and stole nine laptops. The estimated market value of which is around Rs 03 lakh.

Earlier, three people have been arrested in this incident. They were Ratan Nama (22), Chandan Nama (34), and Bikash Debnath (32). A case of 457/380 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against them.
