Agartala, September 30, 2022: The Bharatiya Janata Party government has been established to alleviate the long-awaited misery of the people of the state in 2018, said BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee on Friday.

In the last four and a half years, the Bharatiya Janata Party government has announced various schemes for the benefit of people, from working people to government employees.  Several other decisions have been taken in the interest of the people of the state in the cabinet meeting on Thursday night.  So the state BJP is thanking the state government, said Bhattacharjee while speaking to media persons at the party’s state head office this evening.

He said that in 2018, the government had promised that the social allowance would be increased from Rs 700 to Rs 2,000.  Accordingly, the social allowance has been made for Rs 2000.  Even 30,000 more people from poorer sections have been decided to be brought under this allowance in the cabinet.  More decisions are made regarding the employment of unemployed youth and the decision is to hire those who have already passed TET.

Besides, it has been announced to appoint people from other departments and the government has simultaneously extended support to 42 thousand affected farmers in the state. So this is for the poor unemployed, farmers and labourers. The government has done these things with speed.

However, he said that two years of development work has been hindered due to COVID pandemic. BJP state chief spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty and state general secretary Papia Datta were also present at the press conference.
