Agartala, 6th November 2024: Tripura BJP In-Charge Rajdeep Roy announced on Wednesday that the party has nearly met its ambitious membership target for the state.
During his visit to Agartala, Roy mentioned, “It has been two months since I was appointed as the In-Charge of Tripura Pradesh BJP, and this marks my fifth visit to the state.”
Highlighting the significance of the membership drive, he added, “Tripura is crucial in our efforts to engage citizens, aiming to enroll 10 lakh members, both online and offline, within a population of roughly 40 lakh.” According to recent data, 8.51 lakh members have registered online, and over 2 lakh have submitted forms offline, of which 1.50 lakh have already been verified.
“We’ve reached 99% of our target, breaking all previous records. I thank everyone involved, especially the dedicated karyakartas,” he stated.
Roy also noted that the membership drive, which is scheduled to continue until November 15, has drawn significant attention. He encouraged all BJP members to keep up the momentum, adding, “Tripura BJP is making waves at the national level due to our progress under the leadership of Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, State BJP President Rajib Bhattacharya, and Membership Drive Chairman and MLA Bhagaban Das.”
