NCSK vice-chairperson chairs review meeting at AMC on sanitation projects

Agartala, 6th November 2024:   A review meeting chaired by the Vice-Chairperson of the National Commission for Safai Karmis A. Panwar took place at the Agartala Municipal Corporation’s conference hall on Wednesday morning. Panwar arrived in Agartala for a three-day visit to the state on Tuesday, focusing on the welfare of sanitation workers.

The meeting aimed to review the implementation of various projects dedicated to the welfare of sanitation workers in Tripura. Panwar was accompanied by Secretary of the SC Welfare department Deepa D. Nair; AMC Commissioner Shailesh Kumar Yadav; District Magistrate of West Tripura district Dr. Vishal Kumar; and other senior officials. Representatives from the EPF Commissioner, ONGC, SBI, TGB, and PNB also participated in the discussions.

During the meeting, Panwar was briefed on the various schemes designed to aid sanitation workers and the challenges they face. “The transparency and efficiency of these projects are crucial for improving the lives of our sanitation workers,” Panwar stated.

The Vice Chairperson is set to hold another meeting tomorrow with sanitation workers at the ONGC Tripura Asset conference hall to further discuss the implementation of these projects.
