Agartala: July 12. CPIM state committee secretary and MLA Jitendra Chowdhury today lashed out at the BJP government for crippled the state and its different departments.Today Gana Mukti Parishad, Tripura Kshet Mazdoor Union and All India Krishak Sabha State Committee staged an Assembly March which started in front of Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan.
The police stopped the procession as it reached near the Circuit House after roaming various roads of the city. Addressing the gathering CPIM state committee secretary Jitendra Chowdhury lashed attack on the government.
“The then finance Minister Jishnu Dev Varma during his five years has crippled the state’s education, health systems and other sector as well. Due to which the Bharatiya Janata Party had to come down with 40 percent votes. They should have been educated by the people of the state”, said Jitendra.
He also said that during the Left Front government, despite not getting enough money from the centre, the then government tried to provide facilities to the people by giving priority to health, agriculture and education but the government that has been established at present continues to exploit human resources.“This year’s budget has no direction. There is nothing for the backward people. The receipts from the budget in agriculture, education, health have gone down to zero”, he said.Ganamukti Parishad Secretary Radha Charan Debbarma said that people from Khedachara Damchara are going to Mizoram to work as daily labourers as they are unable to find work in the state. He strongly criticized the demand of Greater Tipraland by TIPRA Motha and said that they have realized that this will not happen, so they and the BJP leaders are making huge corruption from MNREGA.
Later a mass deputation was presented to the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha with 15 points of demands. The delegation was attended by Radha Charan Debbarma, Pabitra Kar and others.
