BJP initiates seven-day long series of programs to celebrate 75th years of independence in Tripura

Agartala, August 03, 2022: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and to celebrate the 75th years of India’s independence, a series of programmes has been initiated by the BJP state committee organization from August 9 to 15 next across the state.

Speaking to reporters here at BJP state headquarters on Wednesday afternoon, party’s state general secretary Papia Datta said “As we are celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in 2022, the central government announced a special campaign ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ on August 13, 14 and 15 next. There are about 20 crore households in India, all were appealed to hoist the tricolour national flag on these three days. In Tripura, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday last appealed to hoist the national flag in 8.50 households across the state.”

“As part of this 75th years of India’s Independence programme, Pradesh BJP president who is the convenor of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in Tripura assigned BJP state general secretary Papia Datta along with BJYM state president Nabadal Banik and BJJM state president Bikash Debbarma to convene a series of programme from August 9 to 15 next across the state. Committees at each district, mandal and booth will have 5, 4 and 3 members”, she also added.

The programmes include- BJP karyakartas will distribute national flag at each house from August 9 to 11 next, morning processions from August 11-13 at every urban local body’s wards, cleaning of freedom fighters’ statues and memorials and garlanding by ministers, MLAs and BJP state leaders from August 11 to 15 next, BJYM to hold bike rally from August 12 to 13 in 60 mandals, and a grand programme will organized on August 10 at Rabindra Satabarshiki Programme to kick off the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign across the state.BJP state media in-charge Sunit Sarkar was also present in the press conference.
