Agartala, 22nd May 2025: A public deputation was submitted by BJP party representatives to the Rajnagar Gram Panchayat office today, leveling allegations of corruption against the administration. The Rajnagar Gram Panchayat, operating under the Kadamtala RD Block of Kadamtala Kurti assembly constituency is currently governed by the CPIM-Congress alliance.
Leaders from various booth committees of the BJP assembled for a massive procession from Rajnagar Bazar before reaching the Gram Panchayat office, where they formally submitted a seven-point demand charter to Panchayat Secretary Chandan Kumar Das.
The deputation program saw the presence of key BJP leaders, including 54-Kadamtala-Kurti Mandal BJP president Bimal Purkayastha, Minority Morcha Tripura State Committee Secretary Sufia Begum, booth presidents Santosh Kumar Nath, Wais Ali, Mainul Haque, Rathin Chakraborty, Ramakant Nam, and BJP representative Abdul Momin, among others.
The move comes amid heightened political tensions in the region, with BJP leaders pressing for immediate action against alleged irregularities in the functioning of the Panchayat.
