Agartala, August 16, 2022: A five-member delegation of the Pradesh BJP Pensioners’ Cell on Tuesday met with the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha at his official chambers in the premises of Civil Secretariat here and submitted 11-point charter of demands.
The five members delegation include- BJP Pensioners’ Cell state convenor Byomkesh Choudhury, co-convenor Baldev Sinha, members Shanti Ranjan Majumder, Jagadish Chandra Biswas and Krishnapada Debroy.
“We have met with the Chief Minister Dr Saha and highlighted our demands in detail. We stressed on the demands of various retired employees of different Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Anganwadi Kendras and Home Guards”, said Choudhury while speaking to reporters at Civil Secretariat after meeting with CM Dr Saha.
He said “The medical allowance of pensioner needs to be increased from Rs 500 to Rs 3000 per month, the retired employees of PSUs are deprived of good amount as pensions which needs to be focused, provide LTC benefit for one-time to the pensioners and their family members, opening a portal for the pensioners whosoever is retiring from different departments of the state government where the grievances can be informed, give the pending Dearness Relief (DR), etc.” “Hearing all our demands, Chief Minister assued us to look into the points and initiate steps accordingly”, said Choudhury.
