Agartala: September 14. Shanti yajna was performed in Rajrajeshwari temple for the peace of the state and the well being of the people. Raj Rajeshwari Mandir is situated at Mahuripur under Shanti Bazar Mahakuma.
Shanti Yajna was organized by the initiative of Ashesh Baidya, former president of Rishyamukh Mandal. In the organized yajna, the state BJP president Rajiv Bhattacharya wished the wellbeing and peace for the people of the state. BJP general secretary Papiya Dutta, former mandal president Asesh Baidya and other mandal leaders were present. Gita recitation and chanting of Vedic mantras and offerings of fruits along with Ghritahuti and flower bel leaves are offered in the yajna kunda. After the yajna, the state president left for the political program.
