Agartala, 21st November 2025: BJP state president and CP Rajib Bhattacharjee was suddenly taken ill and admitted to a private hospital in the city on Friday. Sources confirmed that he is currently undergoing treatment at ILS Hospital.
Family members said Bhattacharjee complained of physical discomfort, prompting his immediate admission. Doctors are closely monitoring his condition and conducting necessary medical examinations.
Upon receiving the news, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha rushed to the hospital to check on the BJP leader. The Chief Minister spoke with the attending doctors and inquired about Bhattacharjee’s health.
Dr. Saha later informed the media that the MP’s condition is stable at present. He revealed that Bhattacharjee had been experiencing chest pain for several days, which worsened and led to his hospitalization. Doctors are carrying out a series of tests, and if required, further treatment outside the state will be considered in consultation with his family.
