BJP worker killed in Kailashahar road accident, Minister Tinku Roy offers support to family

Agartala, 16th April 2026 :  A tragic road accident claimed the life of Monish Sinha, a resident of Kirtanthali area, while he was returning home after the immersion of idols on the occasion of Basanti Puja Dashami. The incident occurred near the Chinnamasta Kali Bari in Kailashahar, casting a pall of grief over the locality.

Sinha, remembered as a dedicated and hardworking member of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Chandipur Mandal, was actively involved in various organizational activities, according to local sources. His untimely demise has left party colleagues and residents in deep sorrow.

In the wake of this tragedy, State Minister for Social Education and Social Welfare, Tinku Roy, visited the bereaved family at their residence. He offered condolences to Sinha’s wife, Pranita Sinha, and other family members, assuring them of his support during this difficult time. Sources indicate that the minister also extended financial assistance to the family.

Additionally, the family requested permanent employment for Monish Sinha’s widow. Minister Roy reportedly assured them that the matter would be considered with due seriousness. The accident has created a somber atmosphere in the area, with both local residents and party workers mourning the loss.
