BJP workers urged to listen to public grievances ahead of VC polls

Agartala, 8th  June 2026:   With the upcoming ADC Village Committee (VC) elections drawing closer, the Santirbazar Mandal BJP organized an important organizational meeting at the Birchandragram Community Hall on Monday. The meeting witnessed the participation of Mandal committee members, booth presidents, and booth-level workers from different village areas, where discussions focused on election strategy, organizational strengthening, and public outreach.

Among those present were Santirbazar MLA Pramod Reang, Mandal BJP President Debasish Bhowmik, Janajati Morcha State Media In-charge Rabindra Reang, Janajati Morcha Shantirbazar Mandal President Upendra Reang, senior Janajati Morcha leader Karuna Reang, minority leader Zakir Hossain, and several other party leaders and workers.

Addressing the gathering, Mandal President Bhowmik delivered a strong message to party workers, urging them to remain connected with the people and address their concerns sincerely. He emphasized that BJP workers must listen to public grievances and stand beside the people during both good and difficult times. He further remarked that only those who genuinely care for the welfare of the people should continue working within the party, stressing that the government is committed to serving the public.

Despite currently recovering from a fractured arm, Bhowmik has remained actively involved in organizational activities. His presence at the meeting and continued engagement in election preparations were appreciated by party workers, many of whom expressed renewed enthusiasm and confidence.

The meeting also reviewed the political situation in ADC areas and outlined plans to strengthen booth committees ahead of the VC elections. Leaders instructed workers to intensify door-to-door outreach and ensure that information regarding government welfare schemes and developmental initiatives reaches every household.

Party leaders reiterated that the BJP would contest the upcoming VC elections with the slogan of “standing by the people.” The meeting concluded with a call for workers to earn public trust through dedicated service and grassroots engagement, describing it as the key to electoral success.
