Agartala, 12th January 2026: Tourism in the Jolaibari assembly constituency entered a new phase with the launch of boating services at the historic Bolinath Dighi. The initiative was formally inaugurated today in a colorful ceremony by Sukla Charan Noatia, Minister for PTG and Minority Development.
Speaking at the event, Minister Noatia emphasized that the boating service is not merely a recreational facility but a gateway to economic growth. “This service will open new avenues for local employment as tourist inflow increases. The government is committed to developing every tourism hub across the state, and Bolinath Dighi will be transformed into a complete tourism destination with full support,” he said.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, including South District Council Chairman Dipak Dutta, Panchayat Samiti Chairman Tapas Dutta, and South Tripura District Magistrate Sajjad P. (IAS).
District Magistrate Sajjad assured that the administration will take all necessary measures to ensure visitor convenience and safety. He further announced that a comprehensive plan has been prepared for beautification, advanced lighting, and infrastructure upgrades at the site.
Local leaders and residents expressed optimism that the initiative will not only attract more tourists but also boost the economy of the West Pilak Gram Panchayat area.
