Agartala: June 03. The Court of the district and session judge on Saturday has awarded life imprisonment till death to four accused persons who killed bank manager Bodhisatya Das and slapped fine of Rs 50,000.
The murder case of Bodhisatya Das, a bank manager, has reached a crucial stage as the session court of West District has announced its judgment yesterday and found the accused persons as guilty, said advocate Samrat Kar Bhowmik.
The murder of Bodhisatya Das occurred in the early hours of August 3-4, 2019, near Jackson Gate in Agartala. Bodhisatya Das, the former manager of the United Commercial Bank (UCO) branch in Dharmanagar of North District, was brutally killed by the four accused Sumit Chowdhury, Sumit Banik, police sub-inspector Sukanta Biswas, and Omar Sharif alias Shoaib.
