Agartala, 22nd November 2024: Tragedy struck the Maharani Hirapur area in Udaipur sub-division as the body of Madhubala Begum, who drowned in the Gomati river yesterday afternoon was recovered on Friday morning.
Her body was found floating approximately 200 meters from her home. Villagers, who had been searching for her, located the body and brought it back to her residence, where the entire community was overcome with grief.
The police have confirmed that Madhubala’s body will be taken to Gomati District Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
The incident has left the local community in mourning as they await further details from the investigation.
