Body of missing man found in Gandacherra

Agartala, 10th June 2025:   Tension gripped the area near Lakshmipur Haludjhari Budhichariya School after the body of a man was recovered from an abandoned land today morning.  The deceased has been identified as Sujit Namashudra, a resident of the 30 Card area in Gandachara.

According to police sources, Sujit, a father of two daughters, had gone missing after leaving home without informing anyone on Sunday. Despite frantic efforts by his family to locate him, no trace of him could be found until locals spotted his body lying in a deserted area near the school in a neighbouring village. Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem. The exact cause of death remains unknown at this point. Investigating officers have said the cause will be ascertained after the autopsy report is received. The incident has triggered a wave of concern and curiosity among local residents, who gathered in large numbers near the scene. Police have assured a thorough investigation into the matter.
