Agartala, 30th March 2025 : The hanging body of Abhijit Deb from the Raghunathpur area of Bishalgarh, was recovered on Sunday morning, sparking concerns and speculation in the locality.
According to sources, Abhijit had gone to bed as usual with his family on Saturday night after dinner.
However, on Sunday morning, when he was not found at home, the family initiated a frantic search. After hours of looking for him, locals discovered his lifeless body hanging from a guava tree in a secluded area near his house.
Upon receiving information, the Tripura Police from Bishalgarh Police Station rushed to the scene, accompanied by the medical team from Bishalgarh Sub-division Hospital. The body was retrieved and sent to the hospital morgue for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Family members revealed that Abhijit had been struggling with mental health issues for a long time and had undergone treatment at various places. While the police have not ruled out any possibility, the preliminary assumption among locals is that Abhijit may have died by suicide.
