Bride left bleeding after attack by brother-in-law at Rajnagar, Anandabazar

Agartala, 27th January 2025:  A shocking incident has created a stir in Rajnagar village, Anandabazar under Dharmanagar police station as a bride was left bleeding after being hit by her brother-in-law’s spade. The injured bride is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.

It is reported that the housewife was seriously injured during a dispute between her mother-in-law and herself. The injured housewife stated, “My mother-in-law has been insulting my parents for a long time, even abusing them in front of the neighbors. Today, we had a dispute over my parents and that’s when my brother-in-law Birballab Nath hit me with a spade.”

The bride’s husband and other family members immediately rescued her and took her to the hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment. The incident has caused significant unrest in the Rajnagar village, Anandabazar.

Local authorities are investigating the matter, and the neighbourhood is calling for justice for the injured bride. The police are working to ensure that those responsible are held accountable for their actions.
