Agartala, 9th November 2025 : The Tripura Police have achieved a major breakthrough in the incident of vandalism of a BSF vehicle and attack on jawans in Bishalgarh. In connection with the case, Tripura Police of Bishalgarh Police Station have arrested Nazrul Islam, a notorious cattle smuggler from Durganagar. Additionally, an accused named Mithun Kabir has surrendered to the police along with a Bolero vehicle bearing registration number TR07-1637.
According to reports, this Bolero was allegedly used in the recent attack on BSF personnel in the New Market area of Bishalgarh. On Saturday night, Mithun Kabir voluntarily surrendered at the police station with the vehicle. He is currently in police custody and is being interrogated, police sources said. Police believe that several others may also be involved in the attack. Efforts are underway to identify them, and investigating officers have hinted that more arrests will be made soon. The incident has created a stir among local residents.
