BSF Tripura Organizes Blood Donation Camp on National Voluntary Blood Donation Day

Agartala, 26th September 2025 :   As part of the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day (NVBDD), the BSF Tripura Frontier Headquarters organized a blood donation camp at the Composite Hospital, Ftr HQ BSF Salbagan. In a remarkable show of solidarity, 30 BSF personnel donated blood to support this noble cause.

The day is celebrated nationwide under the slogan: “Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives.” To mark this occasion, a National Mega Voluntary Blood Donation Drive is underway from 17th September to 2nd October 2025 (Gandhi Jayanti), coordinated by the CAPF Composite Hospital, Agartala, in collaboration with the Blood Bank Department of Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GB Pant Hospital, Agartala.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. SP Yadav, DIG (Med), Composite Hospital, Agartala, highlighted that such initiatives reaffirm BSF’s commitment to community health and social responsibility. He noted that the ongoing drive is expected to significantly boost the availability of blood for medical emergencies and patient care across the region.

The BSF continues to serve not only as the first line of defense but also as the first responder in every crisis, extending its support beyond security to humanitarian efforts.
