Agartala, 26th September 2025 : The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in collaboration with Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) organized a series of financial awareness camps across four locations in South and Gomati districts of Tripura.
Key sessions were held at Dharmadipa International Buddhist University in Manu Bankul (South Tripura) and the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Kakraban (Gomati). These camps aimed to educate participants on investment practices, cyber fraud prevention and financial literacy.
Speakers included Pitambar Talukdar, Regional Head of CDSL (North-East), SEBI’s SMART representative Bishwanath Chakraborty and SEBI Assistant General Manager Joy Agarwal, who joined online. The sessions were coordinated by CDSL Program Organizer Sayan Maity.
At Dharmadipa University, Vice Chancellor Narasimha Raju, Registrar Devi Saibabu, faculty members, and students actively participated in the discussions. In addition, camps were held at BSF campuses in Bokafa and Bagmara, where personnel from the 114th and 169th battalions were advised on mutual fund investments and secure banking practices, including regularly updating mobile passwords.
