Agartala, 2nd October 2026 : Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir (BTVM), Narsingarh, celebrated three decades of academic excellence with a grand cultural and award ceremony on Friday, showcasing the institution’s achievements and commitment to holistic education.
The programme began with the Rashtriya Geet, followed by ceremonial lamp lighting and floral tributes. Principal Swapna Shome highlighted the school’s 30-year journey and thanked students, teachers and parents for their continued support.
Students from Classes III to XII presented exhibitions on various academic subjects, while colourful cultural performances added to the celebrations. The school magazine was also inaugurated.
Former Tripura University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Arunoday Saha presented awards for excellence in Science, Social Studies, English, Bengali, Hindi, Mathematics, Sanskrit and other categories. The KM Munshi Pratibha Scholarship and Best Student of the Year awards were also presented.
Teachers and staff members who completed 30 years of dedicated service were felicitated. Former Director Dr G.V. Subramanian was also honoured for his contribution to education and society.
Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Agartala Kendra, retired IFS officer Debashis Chakraborty, Vice-Chairman Tapan Lodh and Principal of Bhavan’s College of Teacher Education Dr Rajat Dey were among those present. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Headmistress Saswati Nandi Majumder and the National Anthem.
