Agartala, August 23, 2022: Ahead of village council election in Tripura, the council of ministers on Tuesday has decided to set up 300 coaching centres for students under the Tribal Welfare department.
While briefing media persons at Civil Secretariat here on Tuesday afternoon, ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury said “Under the Tribal Welfare department, as many as 300 coaching centres would be opened in ADC villages across the state where students of kindergarten to class V hailing from economically weaker sections will enjoy the benefits of free coaching.”
“In each and every village, three centres at maximum can be opened. Altogether, 300 teachers with educational qualification of HS+2 and graduation degree will be recruited. At least 25 classes should be conducted in a month and an amount of Rs 215 per day will be given to those teachers. However, the recruitment procedure would be regulated by the concerned department”, he added.
Apart from this, Minister said “More 19 sub-divisions, six divisions and four circles would be created or set up for smooth working process under the Rural Development department.”
Meanwhile, Chowdhury said “Cabinet also approved allotment of land measuring 50 acres of land at Mohanpur Mouja for setting up of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). Earlier, plot of 42 acres was handed over to the IIIT authority, but they demand for more portion of land. According, this decision of providing a total 50 acres of land has been finalized today and a premium of Rs 1.50 crore has been exempted.”
