Agartala, 16th  March 2026:   Job aspirants have once again taken to the streets demanding the speedy completion of the recruitment process for Fireman and Driver positions. Today, they gathered in front of the Fire Service department to voice their protest.

The protesters allege that in 2022, the Tripura Fire Service issued notifications to fill 329 vacant posts. Following the announcement, physical and written examinations were conducted. However, nearly four years have passed, and the results have still not been declared, leaving candidates in prolonged uncertainty.

According to them, many applicants have been waiting anxiously for a chance to be selected. The delay in recruitment has caused severe hardship, pushing them further into unemployment. A three-member delegation met with the department’s Director, Megha Jain, to raise their concerns, but they claim they received no clear assurances.

The protesters warned that if the results are not announced and the recruitment process completed soon, they would escalate their agitation. They have also submitted an appeal to the Chief Minister, urging urgent attention to the matter.
