Agartala, 19th March 2026: The CATC-177 Adventure Camp, organized by the 13 Tripura Battalion NCC from March 10, concluded today with resounding success. Over the course of ten days, 130 cadets participated in a series of thrilling and enriching activities that left a lasting impression on all involved.
From the very first day at Tirthamukh in Gomati district, the camp was filled with excitement, learning, and personal growth. Cadets engaged in fishing, rock climbing, and trekking through the Kalajhari Hills—experiences that were both exhilarating and entirely new for many. One participant shared, “I had never engaged in such adventurous activities before. The thrill and joy of overcoming challenges are beyond words.”
Highlights included visits to the picturesque Tirthamukh Waterfall and Dumbur Dam, along with an unforgettable jet ski ride on Dumbur Lake. After five memorable days, the camp shifted to Chabimura, where the adventure continued with artificial rock climbing, zip-lining, canoeing, boating, rafting, and archery. The serene boat rides through lush greenery and cascading waterfalls created cherished memories for the cadets.
Despite the challenging terrain, the Nirmahal Adventure and Mountaineering Foundation (NAMF) team ensured safety at every step, allowing participants to fully embrace the experience. Cadets expressed gratitude to the 13 Tripura Battalion and NAMF for organizing such a motivational and confidence-building program.
The closing ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including Rinku Lather, DM of Gomati district; Anupom Chakraborty, SDM of Amarpur; Commandant Rajshekhar of 13 Bn NCC Tripura; and Shivpal Singh of 13 Bn NCC Tripura. Their presence and encouragement added inspiration to the young cadets, marking the camp as one of the most memorable chapters in their NCC journey.
