Cattle theft sparks panic at Malaynagar Bypass area

Agartala, 20th December 2025 :  Tension gripped the locality after miscreants allegedly stole two cattle from a cowshed late at night. The incident, which came to light early this morning, has triggered fear among residents.

Local sources informed that, a gang of thieves targeted a household in the Malaynagar Bypass area last night. When the family checked their cowshed this morning, they discovered that two cattle were missing. The matter was immediately reported to the police.

Residents allege that although a nearby warehouse’s CCTV cameras were operational during the incident, the owner has refused to share the footage, hampering the investigation. The affected family has expressed frustration over this lack of cooperation.

Meanwhile, police have launched a search operation to trace the stolen cattle. Locals have raised concerns over repeated thefts in the busy city area, questioning the effectiveness of security measures. They have demanded swift arrests of the culprits and increased patrolling to restore safety in the neighborhood.
