CBC Agartala holds Mini ICOP at TIT, Narsingarh

Agartala, 11th December 2025:   The Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office Agartala, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, organized a Mini Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (Mini ICOP) on the themes: Swachhta Hi Seva, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Women and Children Empowerment and 150 Years of Vande Mataram at Tripura Institute of Technology, Narsingarh yesterday.

The chief guest of the programme, Manoj Kumar Saha, Joint Director, Information & Cultural Affairs, Government of Tripura, stressed upon the importance of Swachhta, highlighting that cleanliness should start from oneself, along with maintaining personal hygiene and adopting behavioral changes towards cleanliness. He also stated that while we have heard the inspiring thoughts of Bankim Chandra and Swami Vivekananda, real success will be achieved only when these teachings are applied in our daily lives. He further remarked that our nation has not yet attained the status of a developed country and continues to progress as a developing nation. The responsibility of shaping its future rests upon the young men and women of today, who are the true torchbearers of tomorrow.

The Special Guests of the function, Prof. Bijoy Kumar Upadhyaya, Principal, Tripura Institute of Technology, Narsingarh, and J.B. Charakpalli, Assistant Director, Head of Engineering, Doordarshan Kendra Agartala, also emphasized on various Central Government schemes and policies.

Resource persons, A.K. Achintam Kilikdar, Deputy Commissioner, Department of Social Welfare & Social Education, Government Tripura, spoke on the themes Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and Women and Children Empowerment. He emphasized that the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan is immensely important as a national movement to tackle the pervasive issue of substance abuse in India, aiming to build a healthier, stronger and addiction-free nation, while Debasis Lodh, Assistant Director, Information & Cultural Affairs, Government Tripura, deliberated on Swachhta Hi Seva and 150 Years of Vande Mataram.

A drawing/painting competition was organized based on the above-mentioned themes. In the final round of the event, an open quiz competition was held. Prizes were awarded to all the winners of the competitions. Certificates of appreciation were given to all participants for attending the Mini Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme organized by the Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office Agartala.
