Manu Youth Society concludes children’s fair, food festival

Agartala, 11th December 2025:   The two-day Children’s Fair and Food Festival 2025, organized by the Manu Youth Society, concluded on December 11 at the grounds adjacent to Birchandra Manu Taiyikarm Higher Secondary School in Santirbazar subdivision. The event was held under the theme “Children are the future” and combined cultural celebration with social service.

The festival was inaugurated by Dakshi Tripura Zilla Parishad’s Sabhadhipati Dipak Dutta in presence of MLA Pramod Reang, Santirbazar Municipal Council Chairperson Swapna Baidya, Vice-Chairman Satyabrata Saha, retired teacher Manoranjan Reang, social worker Rabindra Reang, Fair Committee Chairman Ram Babu Reang, and community leaders Nakul Debnath and Bikash Sen.

At the closing ceremony, held today, PTG and Minority Development minister Shukla Charan Noatia, Chairman of South District Council’s Industry and Commerce Department Suman Debnath, MDC Debajit Tripura, and South Zonal Joint Chairman Harendra Reang were present.

Despite financial constraints, local youth organized a wide range of social programs during the fair, including colorful drawing competitions for children, distribution of educational materials among students, provision of agricultural tools to farmers, distribution of winter clothing to poor, disabled, and underprivileged individuals, felicitations for meritorious students, honors for police personnel, journalists, retired teachers, and community leaders, as well as a community lunch for all attendees.

With the cooperation of the administration and active participation of the public, the fair was conducted smoothly and peacefully, leaving behind a message of unity, service, and hope for the future.
