Agartala, January 12, 2023: India’s Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar inaugurated a photo exhibition on the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program at Ujjayanta Palace on Thursday morning.
After the inauguration of the photo exhibition, the entire team of the Election Commission, including the Chief Election Commissioner of India, attended a function at the Ujjayanta Palace premises.
On this occasion, photo identity cards were handed over to new voters including persons with disabilities (PwDs). Moreover, senior voters were felicitated on this occasion. The Chief Election Commissioner felicitated the old voters and handed over photo IDs to the new voters.
Election Commissioners Anup Chandra Pandey and Arun Goyal were present on the occasion. Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Dharmendra Sharma, Nitesh Vyas, Hridesh Kumar, Manoj Sahu, Director General Shephali B Sharan. On this occasion, the Chief Election Commissioner of India, Rajiv Kumar, read the oath to all present for voting. The event also featured a SVEEP theme song and a patriotic song by the artistes of the state. At the end of the program, Chief Electoral Officer of the state Kiran Gitt gave a vote of thanks.
