CEO Puneet Agarwal chairs meeting in Khowai district ahead of Lok Sabha elections

Agartala, 13th April 2024:   In a significant move to ensure the smooth execution of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the East Tripura constituency, a comprehensive district-level meeting was convened on Saturday afternoon. The conference, held in the district magistrate’s office of Khowai, was chaired by Puneet Agarwal, the Chief Electoral Officer.

The meeting witnessed the attendance of key figures such as State Police IG GS Rao, Khowai District Magistrate Chandani Chandran, and District Superintendent of Police Dr. Ramesh Chandra Yadav. Additionally, Sub-Divisional Police Officers, Commandants of the Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), along with all Assistant Returning Officers (AROs), Nodal Officers, and Civil and Police Sector Officers engaged in election duties, marked their presence.

Post-meeting, Puneet Agarwal addressed the media, emphasizing that a thorough review of all election-related activities had been conducted. He assured that directives had been issued to all officials to uphold the integrity of the electoral process by conducting free, fair, and peaceful elections. Agarwal highlighted the administration’s commitment to facilitating every voter’s right to participate in the democratic process, thereby contributing to the nation and state’s developmental zenith.
