Agartala, 7th July 2026: Chairman of Ambassa Sub-Division Tribal Student Hostels, Bidyut Debbarma, conducted a surprise inspection of several hostels operating under the Tribal Welfare Department in Ambassa subdivision on Tuesday. He visited both government and private hostels, reviewing the overall conditions and management.
During the inspection, Debbarma examined hostel kitchens, student living quarters, and the general environment. He also interacted directly with resident students to hear about their facilities and challenges.
Speaking to reporters later, Debbarma stated that the hostels are currently functioning well under government financial support, with management in both government and private institutions being satisfactory. However, he emphasized the need for modern and improved infrastructure. He assured that he would soon discuss these requirements with the concerned minister.
The chairman further highlighted plans to make every hostel clean, eco-friendly, and green. He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring a bright future for students residing in hostels by providing them with all necessary facilities.
