Church at Mariyamnagar gears up for grand Christmas celebration: Preparations underway

Agartala, December 20, 2023: As the much-anticipated festival of Christmas approaches, Church at Mariyamnagar is abuzz with preparations for the grand celebration on December 25. The festive atmosphere is evident in the bustling Maryam Nagar, where locals are gearing up for the annual fair that accompanies the joyous occasion.

A preparatory meeting, held at Mariyamnagar Class XII School on Wednesday, saw the participation of local MLA Ratan Chakraborty and various administrative officers. Post the meeting, MLA Ratan Chakraborty announced that the traditional fair at Mariyamnagar will take place as planned. Festivities will kick off with the ceremonial cake-cutting ceremony at Mariyamnagar Church on December 25, with the esteemed presence of State Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha.

The formal inauguration of the fair is scheduled for the afternoon, with MLA Ratan Chakraborty doing the honours. Notable dignitaries such as Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder, along with local corporators, will grace the event with their presence.

The celebration promises to be a vibrant and joyful gathering, uniting the community in the spirit of Christmas. Maryam Nagar anticipates welcoming locals and visitors alike to join in the festivities and share the joy of the season.
