Agartala, 4th December 2023: Shibbari Yuvraj Sangh Club, a local club of Longtharai Valley subdivision, showed its social responsibility by distributing winter clothes to the poor and needy people on Monday.
The club organized a cloth distribution event at its premises, where Manu Chailengta Center MDC Sanjay Das was the chief guest. He handed over winter clothes to 80 poor people, who expressed their gratitude and happiness.
Sanjay Das praised the club for its noble initiative and said that every club and NGO should come forward to help the needy people, especially in the winter season. He also urged the clubs to play an active role in preventing the youth from falling prey to drugs and other vices. He said that the clubs should promote sports, culture and education among the youth and guide them towards a better future.
The event was attended by the club members, the dignitaries of the area and the local people. The club president, secretary and treasurer thanked Sanjay Das for his presence and support.
They also thanked the donors and the volunteers who made the event possible. They said that the club would continue to serve the society and the people in the future.
