Agartala, 18th August 2024:  Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha has called for blood donation to be seen as a continuous movement rather than a one-time event. Speaking at a blood donation camp organized by the Krishnanagar Boys’ Club, Dr. Saha emphasized the need to store negative blood groups in blood banks to assist patients with rare blood types.

“Blood donation has no substitute, and it should inspire others to do the same,” he stated. He highlighted that approximately 15% of the population has negative blood groups, making it essential to ensure adequate storage for emergencies. Dr. Saha also stressed the importance of clubs maintaining a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging active participation from all sections of society, including women.

In another blood donation camp organized by All India Service Officers, Dr. Saha praised the organizers for setting an example and encouraged them to engage in work that would leave a lasting impact on Tripura.
