Agartala, December 09: In a momentous event at Suryamaninagar Higher Secondary School on Saturday, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha inaugurated the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program, emphasizing the collective commitment towards making India a developed nation by the year 2047.
Addressing the citizens of the state, the Chief Minister highlighted the resolution to foster self-reliance and underscored Tripura’s progress mirroring the advancements on Pradhan Mantri Marg Darshan.
Dr. Saha expressed that the recent victories of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in three states are indicative of the Prime Minister’s vision for the welfare of the nation’s populace. Touching upon the concerning decline in the number of women in the country, he credited the Prime Minister for launching the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” campaign and implementing various schemes for women, including a significant 33 percent reservation in jobs to empower them.
Stressing the crucial link between the progress of the nation and the state, the Chief Minister asserted that both must advance hand in hand. He commended the Prime Minister’s commitment to the people, citing instances such as providing free rice during the challenging times of the Corona crisis. Dr. Saha announced the extension of free rice distribution for an additional five years, highlighting the Prime Minister’s dedication to preventing starvation and ensuring the welfare of citizens.
Attributing the achievements in good governance and the successful Sankalp Yatra to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha expressed gratitude for the transformative initiatives. The event saw the presence of Vice-Principal Ramprasad Pal and other esteemed leaders.
